Matthew Cook joined Giffin, Winning, Cohen & Bodewes, P.C. in 2024.

Matthew received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northern Illinois University, and then went on to receive his Masters in Business Administration from Millikin University.  After several years of working in the marketing and legal fields, Matthew returned to school and attended Southern Illinois University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate with a specialization in business and transactional law.  While at SIU Law, Matthew worked in the Civil Practice Clinic, and worked as a Teaching Assistant for Professor Peter Alexander’s first-year Legal Writing courses. Matthew was a member of Phi Delta Phi and received the CALI award for having the highest grade in his Trusts and Estates course.  He also received the Lincoln’s Inn nomination which is given for outstanding leadership and service to the law school.

Currently, Matthew concentrates his practice on business transactions and advising, estate planning and administration, and real estate.

In his free time, Matthew enjoys reading, outdoor recreational activities, and spending time with his family and friends.
